Who Wins: Mike Tyson vs. Joe Frazier

both fighters pretty much had similar styles and similar physiques, this match up i think would qualify as fight of the century. tyson is more heavily muscled but frazier had a slightly longer reach. both fighters are known to bob and weave, were exceptional pressure fighters who can unleash a ferocious left hook.

frazier had one heck of an iron chin, foreman had to knock him down 6 times before he was counted out but tyson in his prime had the best combination of speed and power, his work rate was phenomenal. however, frazier had superior mental composition than tyson and unlike many of tyson's opponents, will not wilt under pressure. i believe frazier wins this via ko in the late rounds.

    your thoughts?

If Frazier survives early, he wins.

Both in their primes, Tyson via KO. Frasier was fairly one-dimensional in his defensive movement, whereas Mike slipped punches in a more dynamic way and had more punching power with both hands.

You are an idiot who knows so little about boxing that it is almost a travesty that we have forums where people like you can even put your idiocy into print.

Their styles were nothing alike aside from them both being aggressive punchers and not defensive slicksters. Did you Wikipedia and boxrec their height/weight/reach stats and draw your conclusion? Stick to blowing Pacquiao in every thread you comment in because talking about actual boxing would require that you actually watch boxing and the fighters that you talk about, which you obviously do not do.

Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier don't have similar styles at all.

And I'd pick Tyson by knockout.

I'll take Tyson via early KO.

tyson doesn't have the gas tank to make it a fight the entire night plus he gets frustrated fairly easy. ali missed a lot of jabs and straight against frazier and ali had lightning speed.

Correct, but Tyson favored hooks and uppercuts. His jab was a feint move.

You are an absolute joke and this comment here has prohibited and credibility you could have faked having when it comes to talking about Mike Tyson. Nothing you have said in this thread, like all the others, is even remotely true.
