Do you think a prime Margarito would have really beaten Floyd?

Maybe. A prime Margarito was pretty relentless - and big.

Marg is all wrong for Floyd. Holding and clinching would be useless. He would have to have the stamina of a horse and move a lot. Marg will just eat his pot shots. He will get caught eventually.

        with a plaster?

without plaster no, he was a overrated scumbag who cheated his way to the top, a ****** coward, god only knows how many people he cheated out of wins, he had no skills, nothing, i'm glad Floyd never faced him, he might have ended up scarred for life against the scumbag if he were wearing his concrete plasters

          I think that's a possibility too.

However, it's also possible Floyd just moves around the ring backwards like he used to hitting him without getting hit.

In some ways it's a pity it never happened, but then if Margo was cheating he didn't deserve it.

Didn't say it would be easy, Floyd has to let his hands go....no laying on the ropes and letting someone miss punch after punch. We all know Margs volume punching is legendary, he won't stop punching. He could steal rounds base on activity but I think Floyd pulls out a decision win though.

                  No.

Margaritos biggest wins at the time were Cintron and Lujan, and by no means was he better than the 154lb. DeLaHoya who starched Mayorga in 6. He wasn't a money fight, nor was he lineal. Floyd boxes circles around the slow flat footed Mexican brawler, leaving him looking like he did Corrales.

Floyd has never had a stamina problem and never appeared winded in his entire career. Of all of the styles that have given floyd the most problems it is a good jab and a good defense. People need to realize that the Castillo fight was 10 years ago, floyd won the rematch and hasnt had problems with pressure fighters since. Margarito's pressure will be entirely ineffective against floyd. Throwing a lot of punches doesnt win you rounds, landing them does and they wont be landing.

If you think Margarito could beat Floyd then your an idiot plain and simple. I won't even get the plaster debate. Margarito would land at 6% connect rate Floyd would probaly close 60% of his punches. It's not a competive fight only in the hypes of this board. Who has Margarito beat to even fathom to think he could beat Floyd seriouslly.
