Do you think a prime Margarito would have really beaten Floyd?

margo would've been a night mare for floyd to deal with .. big ,strong , pressure fighter with chin who never stopped punching = night mare for floyd
To answer questioi don't see how marg keeps up with the movement and floyds reach keeps marg of him. Floyd by ud, prob 10-2.

Mayweather still had his legs then (and more speed) so probably not. But Margarito was an excellent, underrated fighter in his prime. He would give Floyd some hairy moments in the final few rounds but wouldn't be able to take over and would probably drop an 8-4 decision.

This is a silly question because we don't even know how good a prime Margarito was because of the possibility that he was cheating. Obviously judging the fight based on skills, Margarito had little to no chance of ever beating Mayweather. Had he been able to get in the ring with Mayweather with loaded wraps? Who knows how that fight would have played out and thank goodness that we never found out.

I'm sorry, but the idea that Margarito was an excellent underrated fighter is a joke. You just have to laugh at that. He was clearly overrated and even that was more than likely based on him cheating fighters without people knowing.
