Comments Thread For: Photos: Marquez Holds Presser, Says He May Retire

Four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, 39 years old, held a press conference with the media in Mexico City. The Mexican superstar said he might very well retire after scoring a huge sixth round knockout over Manny Pacquiao in their fourth bout last Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Marquez's 14 year old son would like to see his father fight one more time, but the Mexican star says his wife is not moving away from her request to see him retire.

      Marquez is a smart man.

      He will most likely retire.

Mission accomplished. There is nothing left for him to prove to himself in the sport of boxing.

THe only fight I would like for Marquez is a wbo jr welterweight title defense in AZTECA stadium to close out his career, otherwise retire champ nothing else to prove.
