The Majority are ex Mexican special forces and military. There are many powerful drug cartels in mexico too, all of them combined is the equivalent of a small nation's military (Philippines). I'm not trying to place the Cartels on some sort of pedestel though dont get it twisted, but I'm pretty sure Mexico's drug cartels can give the military of the Philippines a hard time, let alone mexico's military it would be a massacre.



Mexico's Armed forces are ranked 18 in the world... not too shabby for a "third world country".

Its really not...but why would they need to be? who would be dumb enough to attack Mexico when they have USA backing them up. Their Military is good for helping in natural disasters..and thats about it seeing as how they could not eradicate the cartels but thats probably because there allied with them.

Other thing, drug cartels are a shame for us, the majority Mexican people, they are a minority and cowards, brave with unnarmed civilians but puzzies with Mex Navy Special Forces.
Hope weed and other drugs gets legalized soon to brake their backbone of dirty money, source of their ignominous power.

EXACTLY i been advocating that the good citizens of Mexico take up arms/machetes and kill all the druglords sure some would die but they will forever be remembered for eradicating the very parasite that has plagued Mexico for far too long, the cartels do not have enough bullets to silence everyone! but the people are scared..

yeah exactly by no means are the drug cartels anything to be proud of all I was saying is that I'm pretty sure the drug cartels militaristic capabilities are on par if not exceed those of the Philippines military.

At least in terms of ground war tactics obviously the cartels dont have fighter jets or submarines but then again... does the Philippines have those?
