I think it was the extra weight, combined with the fact that this time it seemed that he really loaded up on his punches.
On past fights he would be he hesitant on putting all his weight when he throws, because he was afraid on getting caught with manny's combinations.
That's why manny hit him so many times, watch the fight again and you'll see that it takes him more time to reset after he throws his right hand.

Yep, some people don´t realize pac had a little more success in a couple of rounds than in the other entire previous fights just because Márquez was seriously going for the KnockOut this time around... and what a knockout he delivered.
