Pacquiao was a superstar before being connected to Floyd, but his popularity skyrocketed when people thought he had a legitimate shot to take down the arrogant Mayweather. America loves to root against the black guy and Pacquiao was the man to finally shut him up. He definitely benefited from the Mayweather connection whether you want to admit it or not.
pacman never needed mayflower. you don't need a boring, defensive boxer's name to become famous. it will just ruin you.
no need for this kind of reaction. espn is reporting he had to take an advance from Bob, about $1.5 mil before the fight. He could've had $40 mil in his pocket.
But it was a good thing that he was able to come into the sport, you know, piggyback off my name, and get a bunch of endorsement deals and make a good living. That's a great thing."
the guy ruined a nice gesture with one sentence.
He sure did. Floyd is bitter that Pacquiao has endorsements and he doesn't. Floyd also missed out the opportunity to do what Marquez did.
money mayflower wasted $150 million because of cowardice. nobody knows what he's afraid of. he had all the advantages. he's bigger, has longer reach, he's slick (?), he gets the bigger purse, he's allowed to juice, you name it. then pac is amateurish, overrated, fought nothing but washed-up fighters, you name it. mayflower has become the laughing stock of the world right now.
Pac bursted on to the scene and people started taking notice after he thrashed Barerra and Erik Morales in the rematches. He did not need Floyd. His aggressive all action fighting style is what captured the fans. Let's not forget that even Floyd was a fan of his back then when he was seen standing up and cheering for Pac for his fight with Morales if I'm not mistaken. Floyd was a fan of Pac's all the up till when Floyd became a target. That's when the discrediting and PED accusations started flying from the Mayweather camp!
