    (a) If Floyd beat him with skills he'll have no trouble dropping to 143/144 for a rematch, right? after all, his Dad and Uncle say he can make 140 easy.

    (b) Marquez has had good timing for over a decade, yet all over sudden after 4 fights and 37 rounds he's taking Pacquiao's head off?

sorry but I don't buy it, Floyd has great timing too but he's not dropping anyone like that, he didn't even put Ortiz to sleep with 2 free shots

yet Marquez is a KO machine now?

JMM is a great but I'm just saying, it's suspect as fcuk.

What Pacs style power ? his CW power with weakened opponents , or the coke habit shot fighter power , or the healthy little guys like Bradley saying he dont punch hard , Pac fanboys are greatest hype swallowers of the decade , Manny was soooo over rated at WW .

          a. Me personally, I don't think he can make that weight easily as Roger and Sr says. Roger and Sr says a lot of things. Freddie Roach says a lot of things. People in boxing says a lot of things. People in general says a lot things. I do my own thinking. And I think it will be difficult for Floyd to go from 154 to 140.
And if there is enough demand for a Mayweather vs Marquez rematch, then why not? But judging from this forum alone, I don't see enough demand for that fight.

          b. I'm not saying Marquez's timing was the only factor. I'm saying, Pac's over aggressiveness on top of Marquez's timing multiplied the collision of the face and the fist. I never thought of Marquez as a power puncher. Nor did I think Mayweather was a power puncher. Which is why these two fighters rely on timing to magnify the damage.

Yeah sure, let's see it, and not give Mayweather any credit after he shuts out, and completely dominates this new and improved Marquez

Anyway, this fight is financially a lot better than a fight with Bradley or Rios. But obviously if Marquez wants one last decent payday, and a sure win against a young undefeated fighter in an exciting fight, he should definitely fight Brandon Rios. Easy pickings, easy $5-8mill, ride off with millions of dollars and on top as a top 3 P4P fighter, #1 WW at 40 years old.

If Marquez wants a sure loss but a crazy payday in return, something like $12-15million, then fight Mayweather.

NO. Mayweather would win just as easily in a rematch and for those saying Marquez developed some other worldly power last night maybe its Pac's ability to take a punch that's changed. His defense has never been good.

Exactly, but don't mind the Weebler. He's a bitter Hatton fan who predicted Hatton would brutally KO Floyd, and since then, he's been picking anybody to beat Floyd just because he needs it for his self-esteem.

With that being said, no. Floyd is smarter, better defensively, and more athletic than Marquez. He had every advantage. Manny was more athletic than Marquez, but you saw what happened to him for not being smart defensively. Floyd whoops any version of Marquez at any weight.

The "welterweight" JMM that Floyd fought was just an overweight lightweight, if you care to look it up when Marquez moved up for the third Paq fight he looked a lot better, more fit than fat, and this fight he looked better yet. The WW version of JMM that fought Paq last night would kill the WW version of JMM that fought Floyd, and he would be much more effective in a second fight against Floyd, but the end result would be a Floyd win.
