According to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, Lee Purdy (19-3-1, 12KOs) has withdrawn from this coming Saturday's fight with welterweight spoiler Carson Jones (34-9-2, 24KOs). Purdy is fighting a bad virus and unable to move forward with the contest. The fight was part of a big card at the Olympia in Kensington, London - which also features a middleweight collision between Darren Barker and Kerry Hope.

Jones is a lot tougher than Brook and his crowd give him credit. Instead of claiming that Brook gassed, whatever that is, in the Jones fight, it should serve as a warning, raise a red flag. Everybody isn't going to crumble or go for the flashy moves and Brook is going to be in more wars, so get ready.
