Hagler would destroy him, brutally. It would be like throwing a steak to a lion.

Are you guys serious? Hagler is ancient. Today's fighters have evolved well beyond anything that those old school guys did back then. GGG has better training, better science behind it, specialised cross trainers, nutritionists, advanced scientific methods of training that form an evolved fighter that eclipses what came before it.

Hagler was just a brawler with a good chin that fought a bunch of bums. He got beaten by overrated Leonard, who lost to a fat, lazy, lightweight himself, after a six year layoff. Can you imagine Mayweather getting beaten by someone that just had a six year layoff?

GGG is a byproduct of all the guys that came before him. He knows all of Hagler's moves, as well as Monzon's, Robinson's, Charles', Lamotta's and with his modern training and all the new techniques that are taught to fighters today, Hagler would literally not stand a chance.

You guys are stuck in old school, black and white world. Get with the program guys. Every other sport is breaking new records, boxing is no different.

GGG is a combination of all the middleweights that came before him and his training is ten times more advanced. Hagler would get broken down and stopped. He just doesn't have the necessary skills, power, and moves that an advanced, scientifically trained, modern super hybrid athlete like GGG has.

Yo ma Homey, what's happened to your views? What's Hagler got that a modern trained scientific beast like GGG hasn't? Your view is that all modern athletes are superior too right? I hear you say it all the time. Or does it only relate to certain guys that you like? Mayweather for instance?

Well, guess what! GGG is more powerful, knows all of Hagler's moves and would be able to predict everything Hagler was about to do with ease. Hagler was just a slow plodder with a great chin. He didn't really have any skills like the specialised athletes of today have. Mayweather is a combination of every great champion that has come before him. The power of Moore, the defense of Locche and Pep, the aggression of Duran and the slickness of Walcott with the heart of Lamotta.

You just don't see bums today that flail about with no technique, unskilled, gassing out within a few rounds etc etc etc. Today's fighters are proper full time modern athletes, not taxi driving, part time fighters and full time drunks.
