Its not that they're all boring Mannie. But if you aren't a hardcore boxing fan you're not going to tune into a fight where you don't know who fighting, are you?

Why would they televise fighters from other countries with no real fan base or name recignition to their viewers who pay their bills? What sense does that make? Asw fans of course we would like this to happen. As reasonable people though can you not understand why iy doesn't? This isn't about nationalism is all Im saying.....this is about busines.
That's why boxing needs a dedicated network, not a general sports network or a premium cable network that broadcasts movies and shows. We need something like the poker channel but for boxing, available in most developed countries. This way you don't have to try to create local stars to get subscribers, your subscribers will tune in to see good fights and good fighters regardless of their nationality.

The small networks that nobody watches would jump at the chance to show any boxing if they could get the rights for cheap.

The big channels would jump to if the could get them cheap, but its business and no one wants to give ground. Without being able to come to a realistic compromise where the network isnt going to lose money for showing fighters no one really knows than there is no reason for them to show said fighters. Agree or disagree?

The big channels would lose income by showing unknown fighters instead of their regular shows. Those channels that just have crap on them and nobody watches would likely gain viewers. Selling the rights for cheap is better than getting nothing.
