Here's a rare glimps of Vassiliy “The Tiger” Jirov in action agaisnt Antonio Tarver in the 1996 Olympics.

It was a compeitive 3 round fight that saw Tarver out of gas in the 3rd, but held on to lose a close decision.

lol, a little bit of both. It was fairly sloppy, but Tarver was out of gas in the 3rd and Jirov kept coming.

There wasn't anything overly exciting in there, I just thought some people might like to see them in the ring as they never fought as pros.

Wow, Jirov beat him in a 3 rounder. I'm impressed. Not really. Jirov is one of those guys I was glad to see go down the toilet; meanwhile, Tarver is on top of the world. Funny how things work out, isn't it?

Why was there any reason to hate Jirov? He was a fairly humble guy who came from a ****ty background and worked his way to the top of the cruiserweight division through grit and toughness.

Don't tell me it's because of the way he fought either...guy came into the ring to FIGHT every time. He gave us a classic with Toney and just made a mistake by jumping up in weight.
