If Pac realized that Ariza's methods didn't work for him anymore then it's a good decision to do his own thing. He's the one who's gonna get in the ring and fight, he should do whatever makes him feel most comfortable.

Some seriously ignorant shit there from Freddie. A lot of trainers are threatened by the expertise of conditioning coaches, you see it in all sports, not just boxing. Because they don't understand it they can blame it when things go wrong, and they get jealous at the credit it's given when things go right.
He's got a good point actually, these S&C coaches are overrated. Berto hired some famous eastern european coach after the Ortiz fight and his conditioning didn't improve one bit.

We're not talking about some rookie here, this guy is an ATG who was a multiple division world champ before Ariza entered the picture. He absorbed a lot of Ariza's knowledge and now he feels comfortable adapting it to his own style, so what's the problem?

How do you know he's making the best decision and not just the easiest one?

And because Berto didn't benefit from an S&C coach that means they're all useless

They're not witch doctors. They provide expertise in a specific area, no more no less. The veil of mysticism around their activities just shows how most people in boxing have no idea what they do.

He didn't become a great fighter by taking the easy road. I believe he's just doing what he feels works better for him.

You're the one who's talking about them as if they're witch doctors and no fighter should ever go against their advice.

Berto hired a top notch guy introduced by Conte, I forgot the guy's name but he was an olympic trainer, a real elite guy and he couldn't do anything to improve Berto's conditioning. Ariza himself had Corrales fighting like a zombie against Floyd. These guys can help but their contribution is overrated.

Yeah, his boxing trainer did. Now that he's got years of experience as a worldclass fighter he can do his own thing.
