and to my boy wilfredo benitez. Also note that marvelous marvin hagler was more active during the 80's but because he lost officially against ray the FOTY went to ray. Don't get me wrong because I was a bigger ray fan during those time retina or not.

Exactly what I was thinking but Ray was retired most of the 80's but he got the FOTY award. Double standard maybe.

Ray beat the best names, so being gone for so many years didn't matter. Pac has the best names in the 2000s, that's why he won it.

How did Tyson stay on their P4P list for so long his best wins are an old fat former great and a blown up LHW and in 1990 when he gets K.Oed by a journeyman he only drops to 7.

Interesting. So longest time at #1 is

              Hagler - 4 years
              Pacquiao - 4 years
              Whitaker - 3 years
              Jones - 3 years
              Mayweather - 3 years

              Southpaws stay winning.

Poor Caņizales loses a split D battle to Vazquez and he's dropped completely from the list.

                      Southpaws stay winning.
and three completely different styles of southpaw. Isn't Jones also a converted southpaw?
