    Possible HW clearup in 2006?

Toney vs Rahman takes place...this basically will determine whether all of the Toney hype is worth it or not...

Briggs WANTS Peter...whether it happens as their next fight is yet to be seen...but I have a feeling that Briggs's constant calling out will bait Peter into a showdown BEFORE the end of 2006

then Brewster WANTS Valuev and is content on unifying...

Well I don't know who else will fight Valuez...Rahman the "WBC Champion" :::sticks tongue out::: is busy with Toney...that leaves Brewster and Byrd...I don't see Byrd calling out anyone, so I have a feeling Brewster vs Valuez will come off...

if these fights take place, my picks are:

    Toney UD Rahman
Peter TKO Briggs (in a good fight)
Brewster UD Valuev (UD depending on whether Valuev has a chin)

No telling what Byrd is up to...

You and the croonies would thank your lucky stars if it works out that way, because Byrd's blue berry muffin punch doesn't have enough on it to crack Wlad's strawberry sunday chin.

Wlad has the option of fighting Brewster and Byrd.

Why isn't he stepping up and looking to avenge his stoppage loss?

His brother isn't around to fight his rematches for him anymore...

I would take a Brewster vs Wlad 2

But that did not seem on topic with the post

Ike: Do you have a New year's resolution?

Brewster: I want to fight Nikolay Valuev. I can tell you right now, if they make that fight with Valuev, the fight will not go to distance. The only fight I want is a unfication, nothing else. I have made my mandatory defense. They have been talking about unification for long, so let's make it happen in 2006.

Kinda hurts the whole Brewster vs Wlad for right now. So it would be ****** for Wlad to just stand around when Byrd is open. That is, if Byrd takes the fight this time

Except that he's the #1 contender for the WBO title.

Face it, the guy wants to fight Byrd to protect his own chin.

That's all there is to it.

Brewster's the bigger puncher, and the more dangerous fight, so his preference is to fight a feather fisted guy who he's already beat rather than attempt to avenge his loss.

Someone already said this in another thread, King will milk his new cash cow Valuev for at least a couple of fights before he puts him out with someone who can and will win against him. I doubt we will see Brewster vs. Valuev just yet.
