Former heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev is the target of a promotional tug of war in Russia. Kirill Pchelnikov announced that Maskaev would be part of a show on December 30th, but over the weekened promoter Vladimir Hryunov announced his intention to stage a fight involving Maskaev on the December 17th event which features a cruiserweight fight between WBA champion Denis Lebedev and Colombian Santaderom Silgado.

regardless of how quickly maskaev ends up on his back i'm sure both promoters want to cash in on his name as i'm sure there will be a good crowd for both shows. i think if maskaev has a contract then he will headline the show on the 30th. he'd probably get paid more as well.
