But if he fights Frampton the interim belt would be on the line no?

I would've taken Frampton over Casey for sure. But with a little bit more buzz maybe this fight can become something bigger.

        Frampton's fighting Martinez next.

Rigondeaux's got a big fight with Poonsawat.

Should both win, I'd like to see it next whilst hopefully Mares and Donaire can fight.

Weren't Frampton and Martinez supposed to fight before? Or maybe Im thinking of a different fight.

Anyway, Rigo-Frampton would probably be better off overseas. Rigo already traveled for Casey so why not.

They've been signed to fight twice but it's fell through both times. Hopefully it's 3rd time lucky.

Who knows, we'll have to see how things unfold.

Ah, that's what I thought. True, Poon is a tough SOB and Rigo's chin not so much.

Quigg should have taken a low key undercard fight in the USA when he was training @ the wild card. Gary Hyde also told me he offered both Quigg & Munroe fight with Rigo in the UK & they both turned them down.

I hate seeing someone with a record like Quigg's, can't help but feel all those earlier fights instilled complacency into his work. He'd do well to seek opponents from outside of Europe at this weight, bring in some tough Thais or Pinoys and then look towards fighting in America.

Someone like Mathebula is a good opponent for his US debut.
