Umm, no. That was actually from 2011.That interview was from 2009 where he was honest.
Since then he has upped the antique by pretending to be above strict dieting, by eating junk and drinking soda in front of the cameras, sending the wrong message to some young kid from the hood who may look up to him (not that I care).
Of course he doesn't eat junk food or drink soda. This is all just part of the promo. He even makes sure to point out to us that he never watches tapes as if he is above that. I beg to different. I bet he watched enough tape of his opponents to know their weaknesses. You have to the way he always discredits his opponents abilities (I.E. Zab Judah is a front runner, a 5 round fighter. Delahoya gets tired after 7 rounds. Gatti is too slow, flat footed etc,. etc,. )
And you were wrong the first time you made your thread about Floyd lying about his diet, and you're still wrong. you're way too much in to it.
Actually I made a couple of posts in the lounge of what I could eat. Here's one.
I have no where near as good genes as Floyd, I eat a lot of garbage but stayed lean without doing one situp.Originally posted by -Kev-That's what got her fat?
Last year, I was eating two big macs, an angus, 20 piece of chicken mcnuggets, fries, every single day for 5 months, I wasn't working out, I wasn't watching my diet. It's just when I like something, I like to eat in very large quan****** of it.
Point is, I stayed the same weight throughout these 5 months.
A guy like Floyd with his genes, work ethic and natural body of an athlete?Comment

Wrong. Not every one's body is the same. A rule that may apply to your body about how much junk food you can eat, doesn't apply to guy the next to you.A little fast food from time to time doesn't take a negative toll on the body. unless your snacking on it 5 days a week. I go by the 80/20 rule. 80 percent healthy and 20 percent junk food. if a person is cheating that way then they should be fine. like Mayweather said we are only human.
Like I said, I can eat any amount of junk food I want for like half a year, straight, and never look like I have a bad diet.Comment

First post that made any sense in this thread.Eating rubbish occasionally isn't that big a deal if someone is training hard and burning thousands of calories over maintenance on training days. Sometimes it can indicate a lack of discipline that will hurt a guy outside of training programs but that's not a concern with a guy like Floyd.Comment

The main question is whether or not it fits within your caloric needs for the day. So if a guy needs 3500 calories a day to maintain his weight and he's only eaten 3000, then the impact of eating a piece of cake is different to the impact of him eating it if he's already taken in that 3500 calories.
That's true for anything he eats, not just cake. The 'problem' with cake, like most junk food, is twofold.
(1) The fat content means it's likely to be very calorie dense, i.e. more calories per gram than most other things you could eat, and
(2) It's loaded with sugar and 'simple' carbohydrates (white flour mainly) that have high glycemic index ratings. This means it raises your blood sugar, which increases the flow of fuel to your muscles. If your muscles don't need that fuel, it gets converted into fat cells.
So no, cake is not necessarily a 'bad' thing. But depending on the individual's overall diet it easily could be.Comment

That's what I do. Try to eat low carb with lots of vegetables during the week, drinking only water. Then just relax and eat and drink whatever I want on the weekends.Comment

Let me own you you real quick. From the Article's transcript:
The fight with JMM happened in 2009, thus this article couldn't have been in 2011. I look forward to your retraction for being wrong. You're back to fight Juan Manuel Marquez, one of the best Mexican boxers of this generation. What do you expect of your opponent and what do you expect in this fight?Comment
