no, i think guerrero should fight another solid WW and maybe it can create a bit more demand for it. i was completely letdown when guerrero injured himself last year right before he was scheduled to get in the ring with maidana. i'd love to see them make that fight. guerrero can face malignaggi as well since hatton is out of the picture (or should be). there's a lot of possibilities. mayweather/guerrero is still unlikely imo.

Also feel free to comment on my Mayweather drawing I made year and half ago. Took me almost 4 hours.

I have to be honest friend, and I say this as a friend to inspire you. This drawing is awful. It might be the worst drawing of anything I have ever laid eyes on. If I had a choice between looking at this abomination one more time or poking my eyes out, I would opt for blindness. If this drawing were worth millions of dollars and I could attain it, I would not and instead live poor but die with dignity.

Keep it up though friend, you will no doubt continue to improve!

lol at the drawing, why is Mayweather's head pointy?
If Mayweather fights Guerrero at 147 it'd be a good fight. I really hope he doesn't make him come up to 154.
What's the deal with Canelo? Is Mayweather not interested in that fight?

Now that I take a second look at the drawing it looks more like Antonio Tarver

He gets credit enough. Is it an ideal fight? No. Is it a legit fight? Absolutely. I would give him the same amount of credit I gave him for fighting Victor Ortiz. He would be fighting a young hungry lion who might not be prime at welter, but is still a quality enough opponent given the lack of names out there. It would be a B opponent.

any fight right now will give him credit, his inactivity is killing boxing a setting a bad example. not even sure how the cotto fight was legit, cotto is washed up and has no stamina but still gave mayweather trouble. before that, the WBC belt shouldn't have gone to mayweather after that sucker punch. a rematch should have been mandated. those boxing orgs just sucking every penny for the sanctioning fees from mayweather

its not an ideal fight, not the type of fight we want someone of floyds stature to take. its not a bad fight either, guerrero just beat one of the best WWs in the world and did it in style so he proved he belongs in the ring with anyone at the weight.

its not the type of super fight that would add significantly to his legacy but its not an easy fight either. wouild be a solid win, nothing all that special though. clearly not his toughest oponent but hes had easier fights, ortiz for example.

I liked Ortiz as an opponent better than Guerrero, and Ortiz only had one fight at WW. The thing is he was big and strong and the fight was much more attractive because of Ortiz's ability to knock guys down even in a loss.

Guerrero has two fights, two wins at WW; I still don't like the fight. Does Floyd get credit, of course he does, he should. The rest of the WW's are no better than Guerrero TBH. The WW division sucks right now, as much as I dislike Guerrero he's earned his spot as the 3rd best WW. I hope Floyd turns him down and either waits for a better fight or fights Canelo. But let's say the fight gets done, at least Guerrero did earn it over the other WW's by staying consistent with his performances. Looking at the rest of the top 10, all of them including Pacquiao have been inconsistent with their past 3 performances.

He deserves credit because Guerrero is a top 5 fighter at 147 but it does nothing for his legacy.

You got to remember Floyd is going to be favored against anyone he fights. Just cause you don't believe a certain fighter is talented enough to beat him doesn't mean the fight shouldn't happen. If Guerrero continues to knock off top guys at 147 he should get a shot at the #1 guy in the division.
