If Roy Jones Defeats Bernard Hopkins, What Does That Do For His Legacy?

Lets say Roy fights well one last time, what in your mind does that do for his overall standing in boxing history? In my opinion it has to do somthing, B-Hop is still a good fighter. Whats your take on Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins and how this fight will play out?

Hopkins is still a damn good fighter, I hope people don't think hes garbage now because of the Taylor loses.

Nothing at all for his legacy, and nothing for Hopkins' legacy either, if he should win. That's why the fight is pointless and a waste of an HBO date.

It's just a waste of time for both guys, if they wanted to settle a score it should have been done a while ago, not while Hopkins in on the slide and Jones is in freefall.

It barely does anything for either legacy

it does more for Hopkins to win than for Jones to win...but again, barely for either

Not a damn thing. He's been there, done that. Plus, he's been exposed by Tarver.

I think for Bernard at least he avenges his defeat from years ago, and goes out on a high against someone that is still a quality fighter and a heavier fighter at that. For RJJ, if he wins he shows he is still a quality fighter (let's not forget, Hopkins could have been given the decision in both fights against Taylor, still be regarded p4p champ and still undisputed middleweight champ) as he had enough to beat Hopkins. I dont think this is a bad fight at all, certainly a better one than I expected either man to take.

Beating Hopkins proves nothing and is meaningless. Has nothing to do with Hopkins..I love B-Hop.

If anyone says this fight means anything, they are lying themselves. It means only $ for both. I've already said it, but this fight is a joke.
