How good could have Rid**** Bowe been?

For the first time today I watched Holyfield-Bowe I(thanks to my mom for getting me Holyfield's career on dvd)

This guy was amazing, it was a big shame that he never had the true desire

    What are your thoughts?

He could have been one of the best Heavyweights ever. But his desire and passion for the sport was never there.

Biggest part was the same problem Tyson had.

He lacked a lot of mental aspect in and out of the Ring.

Potential and skill only goes so far, and Bowe just never had it together upstairs.

I also think the Holyfield trilogy took a LOT out of him.

Bowe has the same problem Tyson did, they're both unstable mental midgets with an abundance of physical tools that could only take them so far before collapsing.

I am a Tyson fan and I agree with you. Both were head cases.

I wish Bowe would have fought Lewis. If Lewis beat him then it would have really cemented his legacy and if Bowe beat Lewis it could have put him on course for greatness. As it is Bowe ducked Lewis and thats what really showed that he wasn't in the sport for the glory.
