This entire thread is a ***ing joke.

Lewis is a 6'5-6'6 245 pound ATG who got fluke by Rahman because he was thinking of a 30 million dollar pay day against Tyson.
He came back and buried Rahman.

Mitchell is a nobody compare to one of Lennox's VICTIMS, much less Lennox himself.

Tommy Morrison, who young Lennox beat half to death would have destroyed Mitchell.
You're not very smart are you? I was clearly pointing out the vast gap between the two in terms of ability (and hence potential to bounce back), not denying it. Rage some more son.

You're not very smart are you? I was clearly being sarcastic just like the poster right after you was as well. Rage some more son.

        LOL!

When Lewis lost to Rahman he was fighting at a hall of fame level, a lineal champion. He was established champion at that point. Plus he was coming off a movie. It was considered a fluke, and he proved that after he KOed Rahman in the rematch.

Seth Mitchell hasn't done anything so far which makes the loss very damaging. He's pretty much finished.

Ridiculous comparison, go easy on Mitchell, he will come back, he will just not be among the elite, that's it. People wanted to hype him too much, he's a cool and modest guy himself, take it easy

Exactly. Lewis was a top quality fighter who was unfortunate to learn a hard lesson about heavyweight boxing. Mitchell was treading a fine line as soon as he started fighting decent guys and doesn't have the skill and experience to come back like Lewis did.

However, to say he's "finished" is ridiculous. He can make a good career for himself even if he won't fight for world titles.

I like Mitchell and I'll watch him fight whenever he's on TV, but he's not going to be threatening the elite.

Derric Jefferson, Travis Walker, Seth Mitchell. That's the real comparison. And he's not as good as those guys. Lennox Lewis? Please

Shaw is throwing him a life preserver since Haymon and Golden Boy have probably already threw him overboard. He's hoping to promote a couple of his fights before he retires. I guarantee you Haymon has dumped him already. I've seen it before.

he rematched Rahman, beat shot Tyson, and beat Vit after Rahman 1
don't know how he was better than ever, he was at the end
Mitchell has plenty of time to recoup, but he's nothing special
just another guy going nowhere until Wlad gets old or retires

i agree. i said yesterday he reminded me of travis walker. derrick jefferson is another good comparison. he can still have a good career. he can make some money & travel the world but he's now been hurt twice. oleg maskaev had lots of talent & power but he too had a chin that let him down more then once but he was able to win a HW title. i won't write mitchell off yet but he now has defence to work on if he wants to advance any further. these last 2 fights have opened his eyes. let's wait & see how he responds to his first loss.
