Who is the best American heavyweight?

Some undefeated heavyweights have recently stepped up are lost (Mitchell, Ustinov).

Over the world, there are plenty of good up-and-coming heavyweights:

    Davis Price
    Kubrat Pulev
    Vyacheslav Glazkov
    Magomed Abdusalamov
    Bogdan Dinu

There are others such as Artur Szpilka, Tyson Fury, Oleg Platov, Francesco Pianeta, Edmund Gerber and Robert Helenius who have potential but I have some doubts about.

There are some decent up-and-coming American HWs, but no one that really stands out.

    Tor Hamer
    Bryant Mitchell
    Deontay Wilder
    Joe Hanks
    Malik Scott

Who is the best American heavyweight right now? Who has the best chance of winning a world title after the Klitschkos are gone?

He's young though, and although he hasn't looked good lately, he has in the past. He needs a different trainer.

It has to be Arreola, he was semi-kinda-meh competitive vs the ass kicking from Vitali, I doubt others on that list even make it a few rounds.

So my pick is Chris "Tecate and Burrito's" Arreola

I still want to see Chris fit and in shape fighting, he always fights with 30 extra lb's.

Chambers is definitely the best American cruiserweight.

I left him off because he said he'll be fighting at cruiserweight in the future.

I included Steve Cunningham because he will be fighting at HW from now on.
