Nope, the motivation behind this thread is about calzaghe. There was a thread made last night comparing the two resumes and you were very defensive. Here you are creating a thread downplaying froch's resume. Don't be so transparent.

And it's easy to say "Oh they weren't very good" but at the time, he wasn't expected to win pretty much any of his fights in the SS except Johnson and he came second.

Froch has over-achieved big time in his career.
      He was favoured over Dirrell.

exactly, this dude must be a Calzaghe fan cause any real fan of boxing appreciates a classic throwback fighter like Froch that welcomes any challenge n is there to win no matter the situation, something that Calzaghe never learned

how can any real boxing fan hate Froch boxing style, he is a coky mofo but i never pay attention to that crap, just like Broner is getting a lot of hate but dude is there to get hit n beats them up

And the reason behind your hatred for Calzaghe is because he beat Hopkins?

Come on man, get back on topic

I keep seeing a 43 year old, 2-5 in last 7 fights and coming down in weight 7 lbs Glen Johnson used as an example as to why Carl Froch's resume is great. Or Abraham who is clearly very limited and 5-3 at 168 with only a faded Taylor which could be called a 'good' win on his resume... after that you're looking at wins over Edison Miranda and.. uh.. nothing. Andre Dirrell is yet to win a title and he's 29, is he really all that? his biggest win is Arthur Abraham, after that.. who is on his resume?

I like Carl and commend him for his attitude but it's ridiculous how overrated some of these Super 6 wins are getting.

What've you been smoking? I bet you weren't saying that before the super 6.

            Frochs resume since 2008:

            Yusaf Mack
            Lucian Bute
            Andre Ward
            Glen Johnson
            Arthur Abraham
            Mikkel Kessler
            Andre Dirrell
            Jermain Taylor
            Jean Pascal

This is one of the best/toughest resumes in boxing today.

On top of that - the amount of times Froch was written off due to his 'lack of skill' and ruggedness makes this even more impressive. That resume has a combination of slicksters, boxer punchers, brawlers even Glen Johnson was dangerous dispite his age.

And that's about it. Him and Johnson.

Everyone else he was supposed to lose to.

That shouldn't make his resume any better.

Good call. Froch vs. Edison Miranda was a great fight, I watch it all the time.

                      It has significance, surely.
