Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Broner vs. Burns Fight is Very Possible

Oscar De La Hoya sees great talent in Adrien Broner. Or, rather, talents.

"Broner, to me, is Floyd Mayweather, [Bernard] Hopkins, myself — you can name them all — all wrapped into one,” De La Hoya said at the post-fight press conference shortly after Broner dispatched of Antonio DeMarco in Atlantic City. “He can box. He can stay in front of you. He likes to fight.”

De La Hoya said Broner’s performance showed him to be a special fighter.

Please make this fight, Burns won't bare any resemblance to DeMarco, I can promise you that.

Yeah and Broner isn't Kevin Mitchell. Broner UD or late stoppage.

            Broner has options for days:

            Burns at 135
            Gamboa at 135

            JMM at 140
            Bradley at 140
            Rios at 140
            Matthysse at 140
            Garcia at 140

            Khan at 147
            Bradley at 147/140

Toomany options. Lets see if Bob Arum claims hes ducking Rios.

no way he fights a Top Rank fighter, Haymon and DLH are going to keep him as far from Arum fighters as they can while they still have options. So probably Burns next, then onto Garcia for the 140 pound title, possibly Khan if Virgil Hunter helps him get his act together. Even so that'd be a great run of fights for him.

LOL Making too much over the win against a puny Demarco, The truth is, Demarco is what we thought he was, same guy that fought Valero.. I think Broner is now the king at 135 but as far as him going to 154 or even 140 for that matter and being a dominating force in the near future is nonsense. Too much talent at those weights and Broner's not walking anyone down there. Broner is still the guy that struggled with Ponce..

That's "The Fight" to make at 135 right now.

                  Get it done. No excuses.

All you guys who think burns is a tough fight for Broner are delusional.
Broner KO's burns inside 7 rounds, easy work, skills pay them bills you know
