As much as you guys hate to admit it, this is a pretty interesting matchup. Pre-Tito Vargas was a great boxer. Canelo is at the point in his career where Vargas was right before he fought Winky.

A pre-Tito Vargas who still has his footwork gives Alvarez a lot of trouble, but id say it's a tossup.

The thing is that Vargas lost to the best fighters he ever fought. No Shame losing to that version of Tito, Shane, and Oscar but a lot of people feel he didnt beat Winky either.

Someone also mentioned Canelo being buzzed by Cottos bro but remember Vargas got dropped I believe against the puerto rican dude he fought right after Tito (I know, he was considered damaged after but it still happened and it was later on in his career...so...).

Vargas was very good but we KNOW he couldnt beat the top dudes because it happened. Canelo is still a mystery. One thing is for sure is they both throw bombs. It would have been a war, both would probably have had their careers shortened by that fight, especially the loser.

My brain says Vargas... But I'd bet money on Canelo if he was the under dog.

Canelo's best win is nobody. Until that changes, I couldnt take him against someone who held his own against some very, very good fighters. Vargas.

Vargas was thrown in with the wolves far too soon but handled himself very very very very well in the process.

Canelo hasn't fought a wolf yet, and all the wolves at 154 aren't even that good at the moment.

Lara draws with Molina and Vanes (should have lost won and won one)
Vanes draws with Lara (should be a loss)
Molina draws with Lara and loses to Kirkland (should be a win and dont get me started on that DQ)
Kirkland gets KTFO then beats Molina (lol @ both)
          Bundrage sucks
Dizzy looked like **** against a fat guy who looked like **** too.
          Quintana...
          Latimore.... whatever

The only person worth anything right now if he were to win, would be Trout if he secured a Cotto victory. Everyone else is stuck at B- or below because they can't seem to make that significant step forward. Vargas fought a ton of Elites, A classers. His division was stacked and he swam with them very well.
