these threads detract from how many great white boxers there have been. people who really following boxing, know that out of the top 20-25 boxers of all time, at least 5 are white. Whites only make up like 15% of the world's population as well.

it's just because most people who know boxing, only relate it to the "Ali, and Tyson" eras, rather than looking at boxing through a proper historical scope.

now, in this contemporary fistic era, there's just as many top white boxers as any other. as the years go on, I think the number will only increase due to globalization, and the eastern european boxing scene.

also, it depends on how you define the term "white." I mean, who is white? Non-hispanic white boxers only?

I just don't think these threads do justice to the great white boxers, and perpetuates the myth that there have not been a **** load of great white boxers.

As you mentioned, Greb is obviously #1.

I'd have Benny Leonard at #2. Fitzsimmons next.

May be controversial but I would probably have McLarnin above Pep.
