"Who would give a flying ****, and why are you even asking? Who knows Gennady Golovkin other than you, me and a few other people? How many people would he bring to the table? How much money would he generate? ... He is a very good fighter, but it's a fight that economically makes no sense."
But Martin Murray makes economical sense? If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck huh.
3G needs to make a name of himself in 2013, but of course by the end of 2013 Maravilla will be way too over the hill to fight at the elite level he once fought in.
GGG is screwed.

I think the Martinez camp (not Sergio himself), is afraid of fighting GGG.
GGG is the biggest threat in the MW division. Sergio is only 36 years old. Not much time left for him in this sport so he and his camp want to cash in on big name fighters only, not just big punch fighters.
That's why you only hear Sergio talk about Mayweather, Pac, Canelo and not Ward or GGG.

I remember when the last great Middleweight had a goal to unify the division no matter what. He wanted all the belts to show he's the best. He didn't settle for chasing rematches with overrated hype jobs. But hey its Sergio's legacy. If he wants to waste the last years of his career chasing pipe dreams that's on him.

Not when Martinez is 40+, skills/reflexes/speed are rapidly deteriorating (or are already deteriorated), etc. Id just like to see the fight when martinez is still on top of his game, and can give a younger buck a run for ther money. Not when he is a grandpa, being rolled out to the ring in a wheelchair, a shell of his former self, etcLast edited by ~AK49~; 01-23-2013, 03:38 PM.
