Taylor was dirty and resorted to deliberate headbutts, and cut Chakhkiev over the eye.

Bothered by the cut and having his vision impaired, Chakhkiev wasn't quite as aggressive as usual. Otherwise he would have stopped Taylor.

No, Mares is dirty, this kid keeps all of his weight over his front foot, has no footwork to speak of and really looked like he closed his eyes put his head down and prayed for the best every time he did throw something. So he was not fighting dirty, he just does not have very much ability or skill, just obvious strength.

Second headbutt appeared deliberate to me. Taylor landed some nice shots in the 7th!
I felt that was a legit knockdown in the 10th caused by a short right that appeared to throw Taylors equilibrium off but the ref ruled it a slip.

Good opponent on short notice who was already in shape as he was scheduled to face Guillermo Jones originally.

Rakhim seemed to treat it as a bit of a sparring match IMO but glad he got the rounds in. His 5th fight this year baring in mind he was injured briefly towards the start of the year, hes coming along nicely.

He will be world champion by this time next year!

Yes i think he will be a champ next year also but he has to tighten up the defense against the left hook, he was buzzed twice by that punch in the 7th like you said. I like what Taylor said between rounds 6 & 7 "hes strong but i'm ok, i'm alright"

Agree there I've noticed sometimes hes a little sloppy with that right hand & leaves himself open to the left hook. I also think hes a little bit guilty at times of taking the middle rounds off. Apart from that he is **** hot & I can't wait too see him up against some of the top cruiserweights next year.
