People are under estimating the hell out of Wilder. Double Standards.

People haven't really been saying much about Wilder's skillset or lack thereof, just giving him **** about his level of competition. Rakhim Chakhkiev, who fought in the same Olympics, has only had three fights at a level above Wilder's comp. Wilder will get there.

Thus the learning curve of fighting regional fighters is acceptable.

By the time he is in line for title shot, he will have a bloated record like Chavez Jr and Canelo did, which is unheard of in the heavyweight division, particularly if you weren't brought up under the Mexican system of fighting stiffs across the boarder every few weeks.
If they rushed him he would never turn into anything, dude has great athletic talent but he needed time to hone his craft and that has more to do with gym work than the fights. I think they are fine with letting Wlad get old but he is still years away from even being close to that level if he can even reach it, I think it is more a product of Wilder's situation than them really planning it that way but it works out nice for them.

He needed a lot of work, I dare anyone to watch his Olympic fights or his first couple pro fights and say yea this guy needs to be moved quick, anyone being real would say 5 years at the minimum and he is beginning his 4th year and I have seen progress in him so I am perfectly fine. Going forward he should fight better guys but before now if he fought better guys he would have become more reliant than he already is on his power which seems real good so he could have maybe got a shot that way but that is about it, to me with an athletic specimen prospect like Wilder they should probably try to aim a bit higher.

Now that is a legitimate issue for him, he looks like Jack Johnson at times and not in a good way~

          Wladimir Klitschko on Wilder:

""He is by far the fastest heavyweight I ever fought(this includes David Haye)"

That is from the transcript of Wlad after the sparring sessions.

          Manny Steward
"He got the biggest right hand in the game(outside of Wlad)

Wlad said that Wilder was faster than anyone he ever fought. That is pretty good signs and Wlad have no motive to just make that up in his transcript after the sparrings.

Also a confusing tweet from Wilder that could be interpreted many different ways.

"Sparring Wladimir shows me once again that I am the future champion"
              Interesting..

Can you imagine what a dominate American Heavyweight Champ could make? Floyd,a welterweight, is the highest paid athlete in all of sport. Shoooot, he is worth letting mature.
