Wilder is all Knockouts...What else can he do? Instead of just collecting KO's how about show more versitility and more boxing skills? Just collecting KO's don't impress me especially when they are against Fat Off Duty Mall Security Guards
People are under estimating the hell out of Wilder. Double Standards.

Wilder ain't fought nobody. I mean, how are you getting better fighting guys like this:

I'm a fan, I think he his upside potential is tremendous, but I will not defend his opponent selection through 25 fights. He needs new management.Comment

Wilder needed to spend time in the gym, just watch his first 5 fights then watch his last 5, there is real improvement there.
Seriously when Wilder came out in 2008, he was 5 years away to even the most optimistic observer he is in year 4 so either they rush him and give him no chance to succeed or slow roll him and let him work on his craft which he badly needed. His management has played it the only way he could possibly make it, it is only recently like 2 fights ago that he started looking like a true pro fighter (and filled out a bit) so going forward he should start fighting better guys but how it played out until now was the only way it was going to work.Comment

I believe Wilder is a top 4 heavyweight, along with the Ks and Price. However, he can't complain about lack of attention until he beats someone of note. He is facing an unbeaten fighter in his next fight, and I give him credit for that. You could say there is a double standard with him and Price, because Price hasn't beaten any decent fighter either. The difference is the British media has gone bonkers over Price, whereas the American media seems to neglect Wilder.
Wilder should step it up a notch. Nothing huge. Fight Dimitrenko, Ustinov, Ibragimov, or someone on that level. Maybe Kelvin Price is on that level. I don't know because I havent seen him fight.Comment

He is about to face a 6'7 tall guy with a undefeated record, that will be interesting.
The days of 20-something old Heavyweight champions is over. You will be groomed till your 30's. Have a 5 year streak at best (unless you're Klitschko) and then retire or get beaten.Comment

I think his management and Wilder himself have no intention of fighting either Klitschko or rushing his contender status to get to a mandatory spot. I think they want to run out the clock, let Wlad finalize his legacy and then take over and be the heir apparent to the heavyweight throne. Thus the learning curve of fighting regional fighters is acceptable.
By the time he is in line for title shot, he will have a bloated record like Chavez Jr and Canelo did, which is unheard of in the heavyweight division, particularly if you weren't brought up under the Mexican system of fighting stiffs across the boarder every few weeks.Comment
