AND, due to the fact that he is simply THAT GOOD, and that he would give any champ in history a run for his money.
That's not a good enough reason for boxing experts., like my self.

If you were a 'boxing expert', you would know that greatness is not all resumes, name dropping and living nostalgically in the past. And you'd give Wlad his due credit as an ATG.

Exactly. I like Wlad as a person - but as a fighter in the top ATG you need something more. And you also need to have beaten the linear champ which he hasn't. He's not in my top20 but somewhere around bottom of top25. Maybe he's a victim of circumstance - but that won't change. Plus I don't think he'd be a major player in the 50s 70s or 90s.

Lucian Bute had a dominant reign as champ, with 9 title defenses.

But it's easy to dominate against poor competition. Once he stepped up against a real opponent we saw his real worth.

Wlad would be in a similar situation against the all-time great heavyweights.

He might have done good in the 50's when HW's were at their smallest, but 60's to 90's had too many chin checkers for a guy with a less than good chin. In boxing, sooner or later you are going to get caught and he's shown he does not handle being hit hard.

Wlad is good stuff, he continues making his opponents look like clowns. No ones stopping Wlad.

Because of pathetic opposition which is not his fault but the fact is the resume is weak and he has losses to Corey Sanders and Lamon Brewster i hold Lewis much higher then both brothers.

He is the best right now and has been a very respectable HW champion. Both him and his brother.

The level of opposition doesn't change the fact that he has a stellar overall skill set, which together with his size and power would trouble any past champ. Lewis had a couple defeats too and was KO'd cold by Hasim Rahman, doesn't make him less of an ATG. Well most champs had their defeats.
