The ref was annoying because he was way too involved in the fight, with both fighters. He stopped the action at times where Mares was pounding Moreno with legal body shots.

With that said, there's something called outboxing an opponent/boxing circles around them, which is what guys like Mayweather, Wladimir, Ward, do. Then there's running, like literally running to the point where your opponent has to chase by sprinting towards you. This is what Moreno did; he ****ing ran.

The most redeeming scorecard i've heard in a while, 120-106. Don't give the guy a single round, didn't deserve it. Just like he didn't deserve to be anywhere near anyone's top 10 P4P list. Now Ring, Rold, and all of you who were hyping up Moreno, please remove him from your lists and put Mares on there.

The ref was definitely a GBP ref. You could see moreno getting annoyed by him.

Mares is protected....and he doesn't need it. GBP is just as shady as TR (maybe more from the Agbeko fight).

he's not low blowing on purpose when he's hurt like Hopkins or Cotto do, rather he comes in head first and throws uppercuts and some are bound to be low. And he did get warned, in fact another one and he would have lost a point.
