Because of victories over Mosley/Gomez/Cintron/Lopez? When he fights someone notable, then I'll put him above or below the others. He's in the same tier as Lara/Vanes/Rosado/Molina imho.

well i sort of have to eat crow.i thought this was the fight that vanes could prove his worth.
what a crappy fight.
vanes fought anxious as usual and had a hard time pulling the trigger and finding lara.
lara fought like a running witch and could make anyone look bad.
both lost me as a fan!

i had lara ahead too. even tho he stunk up the place jogging. fckr

5-3-1 for Lara, close and contested fight.

I disagree on a few.

Round 1: Lara. Quiet round, but Lara's ring generalship and the left hands to the body won him the round.

Round 2: Vanes. Another quiet round, but Vanes semeed to have basically out worked Lara, though Lara still landed more punches.

Rounds 3-5: Quiet rounds, but Vanes hardly landed jack s**t. Even the few counters Lara landed were better and more clean than anything Vanes did. I gave Lara these rounds, he should have gotten 2 of the 3 at least.

Rounds 6-8: All Lara. The 6th was only close in the opening part of the round when Vanes opened up the cut on Lara. The majority of the round, Lara was tattooing Vanes with the left hand over and over, especially near the end. Rounds 7 and 8 were all Lara.

Going into the 9th, it had to be 7-1/6-2 Lara. Vanes landed like 3-4 punches that meant anything the whole night. Lara consistently landed the cleaner punches.

Canelo smokes both !!!!!!!!!!!!!. Poor showing by Lara, and vanes isn't nothing but a B class fighter kind of reminiscent of Carlos "tata" Balomir. Canelo haters go to sleep .
