Because Cotto is weaker mentally and physically than Mosley. Cotto was the favourite with the bookmakers but not in the eyes of Margarito. He knew he was too much man for Cotto.

Margarito's preparations for the Mosley fight were terrible. Its more likely that Capetillo panicked when he saw what kind of poor condition his fighter was in.

The idea that he used them for Mosley so he had to have used them for Cotto is giving Miguel Cotto far too much credit.
