The truth is this...

Margarito was a warrior, a guy who left his heart in the ring time and time again. The reality about whether he used wraps in his fight vs Cotto will never be known, but when you are found with illegal wraps in one fight, you are guilty forever.

If he used them in the Mosley fight, then he could have used them in other fights. Did he? We will never know but the fact is when you cheat the way he did, his legacy is forever tainted and it's a shame because he was such an exciting fighter who left it all in the ring.

I loved Margarito before the wrap scandal, now I have lost respect for him for even being involved with something like that. He took the hard way up, he wasn't given anything and showed what a true warrior is about but his legacy is forever tainted.

Despite the fact that Margarito busted up and bloodied PAC with about 3 punches landed all night, we are somehow supposed to belive that Cotto ate punch after punch, round after round, dozens, and dozens of times.

The same Cotto who always cuts, and was wobbled against lesser fighters somehow absorbed brutal punches with the aid of cement all that time.

I think the greater truth in this thread is Cotto's face can't hold up for **** and this is coming from a guy who likes Miguel.

In the eyes of many people it does and I have not been hired because of that I'm sure. If you read my post I didn't say Marg was guilty, I said only he knows. What I said was that because of his guilt int he Mosley fight, he can't be trusted in what he did in other fights.

We aren't talking cheating in the sense that he is only gaining something, he cheated in a way where he could have killed someone. I don't think what he did is on the same level as what Luis Resto did but you cannot load your gloves with anything that isn't approved by the commission because the boxing world and community will never forgive you for it.
