The people thinking this fight is a mismatch said the same thing about Pac vs Oscar and we all know what happened then

I think 50 saw the same thing and hes been in camp with floyd more than any of us

The fight with Ortiz didn't even go beyond 5 rounds, and while Floyd was clearly winning you could tell the weight difference did bother him a bit, same thing for the Cotto fight when Floyd was hit far more than I've ever seen. Even Merchant mentioned how he thought Floyd was getting tagged due to his age finally catching up. Floyd's not super human, and he's not in his prime, even he admits that, constantly stating how he is a lot older now. First thing that goes when you get older is not necessarily the skills, but the legs and the ability to absorb a punch. Can Floyd beat guys like Ortiz, Cotto and Berto? Sure. Can he beat prime guys like Lara right now? Doubt it...

The 4 rounds that it did go you saw a Mayweather who planted his feet, did not run, and completely out boxed a younger bigger stronger Ortiz. Against Cotto he did struggle, but that is more a compliment to Cotto than it was Mayweather declining. Cotto was going through a revival of his career.

Isn't Gamboa a super featherweight? Mayweather last fought at light middle. Someone needs to slap 50 cents.

at this point in time, gamboa will win if he faces mayweather in the ring since mayweather's skill has now diminished. if mayweather had a hard time against a bloated up cotto who had questionable stamina, then there is no way mayweather can match up gamboa who is still in his prime

Weight is just an excuse used to duck. They should eliminate weight classes.

Gamboa being willing to fight Floyd just shows what a coward Floyd is to not fight Andre Ward. We all knew he was a duck.
