Bute was trying to get his confidence back, go some rounds against a puncher and wait until the last round to really let his hands go. If the Bute of that 12th round shows up against Froch he still gets knocked out but he goes out on his shield.

Bute is just simply not an elite fighter, like I used to say. Always said he was overrated. Froch flattens him inside 6 in a rematch. Ward batters him and outboxes him and takes him out in 10 or 11. Kessler and Dirrell both beat him as well IMO.
