They will have fighters who are known over there and will sell a LOT more tickets than the GGG/Tommy gun card.

Yes fighting Golovkin on HBO would give him world wide exposure in a way unlike anything else, something that will not happen fighting two almost 40 year old's in Mundine and Soliman in Australia. Lulz at you trying to say otherwise.
Yes you can make a lot of money fighting out of Australia. Mundine fights are on ppv and he's loaded, that rematch will make plenty of dough for both fighters. Their age doesn't matter, all that matters is that they're big stars over there.

LOL WBA unification, that **** don't count. If you got a real belt and you're fighting somebody with a real belt from another org then that's a unification.

Are you really trying to push the IBO as legit?

You can laugh all you want but these two guys are big stars in Aus and it will be a very lucrative fight. Talk to aussie fans, ask them how big the fight will be over there.

So you went from "beating GGG would virtually ensure a Martinez shot" to "Martinez is unlikely to fight the winner". Which one is it?

Who said the fight will never happen? I don't think GGG is going anywhere and Geale will most likely beat Mundine. Geale just fought abroad, what's wrong with cashing in on big domestic fight before facing the other top MWs?

I know you love your eastern euro fighters but stop being a crybaby. Go get laid, smoke a fattie and just relax. GGG's time will come.

Yes, but very few and even then it's a crapshoot, you gotta be in a hot division at least. This won't be a worldwide event, but I bet Geale makes well more than Dawson vs Ward, and Mundine beats Ward's purse. I doubt Barker took more than 300k vs Sergio.

The money is only there for foreign fighters when they're fighting big names. When Geale was going to fight Pirog, HBO was was only going to pay Geale $250,000. He'd make a heck of a lot more than that in Australia.

While Golovkins profile went up a bit in his last HBO fight, he still only fought Proksa who nobody knows. Golovkin's worth did not go up so much that they would pay a ton to see him fight Geale. The Golovkin fight had 685k viewers, which is the lowest rated HBO boxing main event in both 2011 and 2012. They're not gong to pay big money for that type of rating. (Unless you're with Al Haymon)

And what's this crap about HBO pushing Golovkin? He was a backup fighter for God's sake. He wasn't even supposed to fight on that date. Golovkin got lucky Geale got a better offer from Sturm.

Martinez won't fight him for the same reason geale won't fight golovkin: zero money in it. Martinez would make at least 5 times more fighting chavez. Makes zero sense for him to make this fight. Geale has no name in the us.
