I wouldn't mind anyone of the three, would all be big fights. Action wise, Cotto-Canelo is probably best. But Floyd-Canelo would outearn it and I think risking a loss is not something Canelo will do before he fights Floyd.

Canelo vs Martinez has Trinidad vs Vargas written all over it.

Canelo has exciting moments in the fight but ultimately he gets stopped after 3 or 4 knockdowns with his face possibly disfigured.

He said he was going to fight a top 5 guy in Argentina

When I posted it, I thought meant a top 5 from something more credible like Ring rankings. But I found another article where he specifically mentioned the top five of the WBC. (you're only allowed to defend against the top five in the rankings apparently, which is BS) The only viable guy in the WBC rankings that HBO would accept is Murray so it has to be him. While not a terrible choice, I rather see someone else. Leave the Brits alone already. They've suffered enough recently.

They discussed Canelo's return on the date of May 4th. Canelo handed a list with three names - Floyd Mayweather Jr., WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, and former three division beltholder Miguel Cotto.

If he fights either one of these three guys, it will be Froch-Bute revisited. Cotto and Martinez will scorch his a... within 8 rounds. Mayweather will use him as a punching bag 12 rounds, winning every minute of every round, unless Alvarez's corner decides to do the right thing and stop it in round 10 or 11. He should be deciding between the Lara-Martirosyan winner and K-9 Bundrage. You have got to win in the minor leagues before you get a chance to play in the World Series.

Canelo, like Vargas, is extremely overrated. Vargas made a lot of money getting his a.ss knocked out by A-listers such as Trinidad, De La Hoya and Mosley after beating a bunch of stiffs. Alvarez will make a lot of money getting the hell beat out of him by one or several of these guys.

you could be right as Maidana has very little boxing talent and is a natural 140lber. If he was ten years older, Team Canyellow would be ringing his phone off the hook
