Wow really, you had him winning after 3 full rounds before getting KO'd? Yes, lets all give him credit for winning 2 rounds. Let's get real, Khan has some skills, alot more talent than he has skills, but no way you can give him credit for anything in that fight. Garcia didn't blindly catch him, he knew to go for the hook and he threw it, dropped Khan a few times to boot.I disagree I think he has good skills sets and can become champion again. He just has to be smart and not let his arrogance or pride get in the way. From the Garcia fight, I watched Garcia finish each exchange that Khan started. I think this frustrated Khan because those types of fights can go either way in some judges eyes. He became agressive and paid the price. It wasn't so much Khan being a bad fighter because he wasn't, I had him winning on my scorecard, but It was more of Garcia's ring intelligence. People seem to fail to notice that, and I think that was very smart on his behalf. I give credit where it's due.
If anything Khan gets credit, from me at least, for taking tough fights and not being afraid to put his money where his mouth is, the problem is he gets beat. The Molina fight is a legit fight, no hating from me on that, I don't exactly think it's guaranteed he wins either.Comment

So you liked Khan until he was knocked out? Im a Khan fan have been since the olympics and i wouldnt hate on him because he got beat by a game Danny Garcia. Yes he can be irritating at times, but he has balls. He would step into a ring with Garcia again. Not many fighters out there like that any more. All of his fights bar Mckloskey have been FOTY candidates. Especially the fights against Maidana and Peterson. As for 'open eyes', history proves that fighters come back from big knockout defeats and be successful. The only how you could doubt Khan is by his 'chin' (which is solved by inheriting a world class defence). He needs to fight with his head more and use his jab to set up combinations. Against Garcia he flurried without jabbing. He was predictable and against Garcia who has superb timing anyhow that was a death sentence. Im not saying that Khan is going to come back under virgil hunter and be p4p no1. But he certainly can provide exciting fights and for me that is what i pay for.Comment

Martinez was a punch away from getting Ko'ed, does that make him a bad fighter? Manny Pacquaio has been Ko'ed before, does that make him a bad fighter? Chad Dawson was recently Ko'ed, does that make him a bad fighter? I could carry on all night. Garcia was very clever in the fight, but caught him with a shot that he will only land once or twice in his career.Wow really, you had him winning after 3 full rounds before getting KO'd? Khan would go after Alexander, he's got a belt. Khan seems determined to be a big multi-belt holder I think.
The only problem is that Khan has to have a few more fights at JWW to put himself in a good position to springboard into WW and fight Alexander without starting at the bottom of the WW ladder. Again, I will repeat myself: I believe Khan has a chip on his shoulder even he might not know about. By this point in time he was supposed to be lined up with a Mayweather fight. But now he's fighting to save his position as a top fighter against a lightweight. Meanwhile other people of his JWW 'class' have moved up to WW - Maidana, Bradley, Alexander. Maidana has emerged as a likable contender, Bradley had his big fight and a belt, and Alexander has a belt. Poor Khan has been left in the dust, and whether he knows it or not, I believe this is stewing in his head. Even his English rival, Kell Brooks, is on the verge of a title fight whereas Khan is fighting to stay relevant against a lightweight. Will this chip help or hinder Khan? Let's find out.
Plus, since when is changing your mind flip flopping? People are allowed to change their minds. Flip flopping is when you care about what other people think about you, and you lie and say things that panders to the beliefs of who you are talking to - politicians do that. Since we're on the internet and anonymous, it shouldn't matter to you whether or not if some other anonymous guy likes you.Comment

-First comment is irrelevant b/c Martinez is almost 40, got gassed and was fighting a damn Light Heavy.
--Pretty sure the second one is also, bc Pacquiao was weight drained from staying at that weight too long, also had even worse defense back then than now!
And the last one just makes you sound like an idiot. Don't believe me? ask Morales.
Khan has zero punch resistance at 140+. He has crap defense as well. Maybe he is quick, maybe he can hook, and yeah, he's got balls, but the man is not even close to a world beater,Last edited by JAW; 11-02-2012, 01:08 AM.Comment

Khan fighting a lightweight who has often fought at 140 because he needs a confidence builder with his new trainer is still far more credible than Canelo fighting a guy 2 divisions down in a title fight
oh and Maidana didn't do much before going to WW, Khan can go to WW any time he feels like, I don't know why he's obsessed with leaving with a belt (Just fight Peterson, it'll be a good fight and there's no risk of being KO'd, pull in some fans by beating the cheater)Comment
