The winner of Rigondeaux-Poonsawat is the logical fight to make next for Donaire.

I'd prefer the Moreno-Mares but it's unlikely for obvious reasons.

Perhaps the winner of Mares-Moreno can take a fight in the meantime whilst Donaire and Rigondeaux-Poonsawat winner fight then the winners can meet up sometime next year. Or atleast they could try and make it happen.
    sad reality indeed.

donaire will fight rigo-poon winner and if successful that's it for him at 122 i think. arum can easily match him up at 126 than work with gbp.

Who would you have chosen as an opponent for Rigo then?
Since everybody wants to compare Rigo's career path to Donaire's.... I wonder who Donaire fought in his 12th fight? Probably somebody way more dangerous than Poon

nah mares is the first homegrown champion by gbp and mares recognized that. and gbp will not let him go so a fight with donaire is really doubtful. besides, it's not a sure thing mares will beat moreno.

Great fight. But like every other opponent that has faced Rigo, Poonsawat is just another victim.

I also LOVE that this fight is on the under card. I hope he jumps into the ring to challenge Donaire.

Because Arce is a bit of a cash cow. Rigo can't draw flies to **** with that boring style of his.
It is envy or hate? You are one of the guys that was calling Rigondeaux to step up, he is fighting a guy with 48 wins and 2 loses and still you r not satisfied, well tell nonito to step to the plate.

good fight !!! rigo will beat him . this is a good name for rigo , this guy has been wba regular champ and now is the no 2 ranked at the wba. rigo beat beranza , with more tha 30 wins , cordova with 33 and 2, ramos with 20 and 0.this guy is not old , not past his prime , and with a lot of wins. my man will win.

poonsowat is a lot better than vazquez and matebula . we will satart seeing the difference bettwen rigo and donaire .poonsowat is a real 122 , not like narvaez , who had to go up in weight against donaire . poonsowat doesnt come from a previous tkoed as arce is coming against donaire.rigo will start showing his skills , and expertise . this guy comes to fight , and will be tkoed , for sure.

Guys who already have fights lined up or who've fought in October:
                      -Donaire/Arce are fighting
                      -Mares/Moreno are GBP
                      -Lopez/Ndlovu fought on the 27th
                      -Vasquez fought on the 6th
                      -Gonzalez fought on the 27th
-Montiel is gonna fight on the 24th
-Bakhtin is gonna fight on Dec.15

Darchinyan fought on Sept. 29, a little too close to the fight date. Vic has only one recent fight @122 where he beat Orlandito, and WBA ranks him at #8. Terrazas would've made more sense since they're fighting in Texas, but he's WBC. Light brought up Agbeko. Well, he lost his last two to Mares, and has been off for a year. He's also not ranked by the WBA. Poonsawat is the best all-around option. He's a veteran who's ranked #3 by the WBA, and is coming off 7 straight wins. His quality of opposition doesn't seem special, but he's 48-2. Seems like a solid opponent on the surface.

Can anyone recommend some fights of his?
