chaves is probably terrible with a padded record. i pick him to brutally dominate malignaggi because malignaggi is malignaggi. of course paulie won't even fight him in order to preserve the fake super hatton-malignaggi fight.

Chaves is not terrible, he's got some skills, fast hands, and decent power. The problem with Chaves is that he never developed the way he should. He's the same fighter he was 4 years ago.

But you're right he probably does beat Paulie. If Chaves can improve his defense, measure distance better, and have better control of the ring he could be a very good fighter. But I doubt he'll ever leave his team for another to actually learn these things.

Only if Hatton gets by Senchenko. Even then, I think Chaves is capable of beating both Hatton and Paulie. No worries for him.
