It may seem unfair on Geale, but he's got an IBF mandatory due as well. He wasn't going to be able to face both of them and apparently paid Soliman step aside money, so I guess that's the direction he's headed. My guess is it's going to be Mundine and Soliman in Australia and then another trip abroad for someone notable.

Which isn't a bad plan at all for Geale. He's the #2 MW imo, so it would've been great for Golovkin to get a match with him. IF Geale does indeed get stripped, it leaves room for Murray to get a title shot against GGG. I'm ok with either outcome.

Nice to see them enforce the madatory challenger but why they didn't insist when Sturm had the title?

Geale should go ahead and make his purse with Mudine. Triple G will always be there to fight later on cause I don't see nobody rushing to fight him

Geale was in Golovkin's position a couple of fights ago. I think he's an honorable guy, so I expect him to fight Golovkin at some point. Even if he gets stripped, he'd still have the opportunity to win it back.

He'll vacate that trinket. The fight with Mundine is going to make him way more money right now than a fight with GGG. I think the WBA should have given him one defense in between if they are going to make amends for so many other champions in similar situations much like this.

Golovkin can't seem to get a break. It would be so unfair if he where to be sidestepped yet again.

Maybe the WBA is doing the right thing here for Golovkin but they remain a smelly piece of **** for letting Sturm duck him for two years while Golovkin had to fight nobodies. Sturm's actions were shameful and the WBA did nothing. All of the alphabet bodies pick and choose which rules to enforce, and when.
