the Alvarez hate NEEDS to stop.

I agree with what you say for the most part, but who cares haters are going to hate it is what they do~ and they just make being correct about a guy that much sweeter.
So let them hate~ although there is certainly room to give him some legitimate criticism.Comment

That would be the first step. Then, he would have to beat the winner of Lara/Vanes. After that, I'd have no qualms about him fighting Floyd.Kirkland wasn't really a threat to me but Williams was. Even though he got his ass kicked by Lara, stylewise I think he would have been a very difficult opponent. It's a shame the fight didn't happen.
Canelo fans need to be patient. When he fights and stops Cotto he'll finally get the recognition he deserves from the hardcore fans.
You complain about Canelo receiving hate, but you represent the opposite end of the spectrum. You're showering with him with praise he hasn't even begun to earn yet, already counting the other LMWs out because he passed the eye test. Who's to say that he can't get hurt by a respectable LMW? Who's to say he can withstand a physically and mentally exhausting 12-round affair with a guy who refuses to wither under his power and combinations? He might be good enough that it will never come to that, but I think highly enough of the other LMWs to say that he won't just dominate them.Saul beats Cotto, K9, Lara, Rosado, Trout and whoever else.
The guy runs 154.
If Mayweather thinks he can take a year layoff and face Alvarez he's in trouble. He's not the guy you do that against.
And whoever says "but Saul wuz hert bai Cotto's brathur" is an idiot.
That was then and this is now.Comment

To asure what you saying ( dude is the real deal @ 154) he should fight a top 20 154 pounder or at least a top 300 p4p..I think your bias mind is traveling to far..Comment
-
the facts are that his last 8 foes have a combined loss record of 50 fights in his last 8 fights, he has not fought a true 154 pound contender, he has fought welters and jr welters or old shot guys. Does he have promise, yes , has he shown that he can even think of hanging with top p4p guys much less really really good jr middles NO a resounding NOComment

So far, Canelo is a made fighter. He is always dealt the right opponents. He needs to fight the top fighters in his division and prove himself there. He shouldn't even have been calling out Ortiz nor should he have fought Lopez. 154 has A LOT of options that he chooses to ignore...Comment

Then why is Golden Boy avoiding these guys? Because they know Canyellow aint the real deal! They're willing to let him get beat for big $$$, but Vanes, K9, Molina, Lara, etc? HELL NO is their answerSaul beats Cotto, K9, Lara, Rosado, Trout and whoever else.

Same thing you said about Chavez Jr before he was exposed. Same thing here. There's a reason why Golden Boy has kept Canyellow away from credible challengers. 6 title fights and not one top shelf opponent. CriminalComment

I can't make predictions? I can't predict that Canelo will tear everyone at 154 up?

The guy attempted to fight 3 strong opponents but luck wasn't on his side, so these fights didn't come to fruition.
And now he's calling out 3 more tough opponents: Cotto, Martinez and Mayweather.
The guy isn't a duck, he's been fighting since a teen, he doesn't fear anyone.
He will fight the winner of Vanes/Lara if he's mandated to. No ducking from him.Comment
