Let the hate continue. Let it build up to an all time high. It will make it that much more exciting when Canelo does finally fight someone we will all give him credit for beating and wins.

What other fanbase has to resort to trying to convince people their fighter deserves credit for fights they didn't actually fight? Wake me up when he actually fights someone.

And Ortiz would have ******. Another welterweight that Alvarez could pound in the face of.

Lara and Vanes have potential just like Canelo does. However, there's not nearly as much hype surrounding them as Canelo has.

but i agree, canelo is a very solid fighter with a ton of promise. the "hate" comes from the fact that the guys here don't understand boxing because this is the first generation of fighters they've seen. boxing IS matchmaking.
i am not new to boxing

i think many of us are very aware of what the business plan is for canelo.

its not a big secret that alludes most of us

make the easiest title defenses, fight marquee faded names (margarito/mayorga stand by) and then cash him out against cotto, floyd, or pac and hope he is ready for them when he faces them or that they are past it enough for him to win

for that very reason since its obvious what canelo's promoters are doing is the reason why more and more boxing fans are being critical of canelo he is not fighting tough comp. which is quite shameful with the number of worthy contender at 154

lets cut to the chase. if canelo was that good a match with bundrage, d.rodriguez, lara, kirkland, vanes, angulo, molina would have been done already because there would be no risk in those match ups but he is not that good and from what you say his promoters pick the matches

which means that his promoters have no confidence in his abilities. which in return brings back into their strategy which is match canelo soft and cash him out

you and i reconize what golden boy is doing in canelo career but you instead defend him on that

but for me the way they are handling canelo is the very source of my criticism

At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt with three falling out, but in hindsight, K9 would've signed for that fight in a heartbeat. He needs to fight a legit top fighter next fight. Any one of his three choices would be fine with me.

I give him a pass on Lopez because he was 4th choice for the fight. Alvarez can't be blamed for Kirkland being an idiot, Williams' awful accident or Ortiz getting his jaw broken.

He needs to fight a legit 154 fighter next. It should really be a unification.

There is no hate just legit criticism, his resume as a defending champion at 154 is laughable, period.
