And Haye's not great so why would fighting him make any difference?

Wlad was the agressor and Haye was the holder/flopper. I think you are the only one that saw the timidity in that fight as being mutual. It was pretty much all attributed to Haye who pretty much admitted it when he started crying about his little toe.

Presumably I saw a different fight, then. I saw flopping, but no holding on Haye's part.

I can tell you right now, Vitali has no intention of ever fighting Haye. He's going to ride out being champion as long as he can without fighting, then retire.

His performance in that fight was almost as bad as two of the worst heavyweight championship performances I've ever seen: James "Bonecrusher" Smith's against Tyson or Henry Akinwande's "clincher" against Lennox Lewis.

The only reason Vitale would even consider the fight is that Haye brings UK money with him. It isn't merit that would make him consider it.

For what it is worth, I think Vitale should retire. He is dimished and, in general, bad things happen to older fighters, especially ones that are 41 years old.
I agree with everything you wrote, but Vitaly did say he would fight the Chisora/Haye winner should he should abide by his own word. He is still the second best fighter in the division after his brother.

Vitali Klitschko is a top 3 Heavyweight.

Unless you want a rematch with Wladimir or you want Haye to fight himself...

I'm intrigued to know how much Haye fans on here will stake on him beating VK,or is it just all mouth ? I'd like anyone to stake every point they have on him,I'll get the points together to see a bet with anyone with a vast fortune

I bet Vitali will fight once or twice more and then call it a day. I'm guessing one of those fights will be against Haye too.

I'd rather see Haye just stay active.

It's one thing to run your mouth while active, but its another when you don't really fight anymore.

If Haye though does get the fight without being active, it just another example of how you don't have to follow the ladder system, if you make enough noise you can skip the line.

I wouldn't blame Vitali for hanging his gloves up. He's 41 and doesn't need to prove anything. His legacy is secure. If he does decide to fight again, it absolutely has to be against Haye. There is no other fight out there that would cut it at this stage.

Oh and Freedom, your claims that Dirk Diggler is a Haye fanboy probably goes down as the most clueless observation i've ever seen about a poster on this forum. He openly dislikes the entire Hayemaker team. What the **** are you on ?
