He won a world title at 135.

He went from a sandwich maker to world champ. Pretty impressive.

Yeah, you'd have to be very ******* with calling them "world titles"....those are fringe belts.

Far from the one of the best guys to never win a title. You've got ATGs like Langford and Burley (who beat the hell out of Archie Moore) and the black murderers row, or even more recent solid contenders like Tua or Ibeabuchi who were better fighters.

Michael Watson was an excellent fighter. Made Nigel Benn his *****, should have gotten the decision against Chris Eubank, and then boxed masterfully in the rematch before the tragedy.

The greatest fighter to never win a championship

Charley Burley is the greatest fighter in the HISTORY of boxing to never win a title. he was a consumate ring technichian and the likes of sugar ray robinson was "said" to have ducked burley. I don't believe he ducked him because he's the greatest of all time but he never fought burley even though he was in sugar ray's division.

Fighters like Charley and many others of His boxing era paved the way for fighters today and its without question, or debate that he is the greatest to not win a belt in boxing. PERIOD. Look him up and youll see

Robinson priced himself out of a Burley fight.

Burley didn't blame him and said it was a business thing and also said that if the tables were reversed, that he would've avoided Robinson.
