Like I noted on another forum,we've got to a stage in boxing where a significant amount of boxing fans tend to completely disregard body shots, and may even opt to score points for fighters who initiate clinches.

    Matthysse-Judah = 115-112 to Matthysse

    Matthysse-Alexander = 96-93 to Matthysse

That is definitely the truth. Not completely the fans' fault, many refs incorrectly warn fighters for low blows when they throw a lot of body shots, and professional judges ignore it as well. Fighters don't go the body like they should because of that.

It's funny to me that many notice body shots when it suits them...That same poster gave Bradley no credit for his body work on Pac,if I'm not mistaken I don't believe you did either...

I think body work is just as important and can change the direction of a fight just as much as a solid shot on the chin...Most times a good body shot is even better,a lot of fighters will recover from a hard shot on the chin..A body shot stays with you the entire fight and has more of a lasting impression...

it wasnt a robbery, neither fighter won the fight clearly and it could have gon either way. no matter who won it was only by a point or two and in a fight with so many close rounds you just cant call that a robbery.

matthyse should have done more considering that he was in judahs backyard, its not fair i know but thats boxing. he should have known that if the fight was close judah would get the nod.

I think in both of those loses Matt's should have done more..His biggest flaw imo was that he was not active enough in either fight..Which most likely coast him...

Matthysse won't be making that mistake anymore.

You might be right, but Matt's is still a bit conservative with his punches..But hey he's been ending fights early so it has not made much of a difference,lol...

He's becoming more effective at picking his spots and cutting off the ring. I'm really happy when I see fighters develop their game, especially the come-forward brawlers.

It was a close, entertaining fight. I thought Matthyse overtook him in the later rounds. Either way, that fight should really put the brakes on everybody that is really hyping Matthyse right now. He had a tough 12 rounds with a 33 year old Judah, take a second to think about what that means.

He sure was active enough to win. He just wasnt "active" enough to avoid the robbery
