Dumb move by Pavlik if this is true. He should go after Arthur Abraham... that's a winnable fight for the WBO title, then if he still want's to fight Ward he could negotiate more money for a unification fight. Ward end's his career either way though, he should just try to get a Chavez jr. fight.

Couldnt agree more man. Abraham was a fight that people wanted at 160 and never happened. Since then both Abraham and Pavlik have gone through some really rough patches and have seemed to rebuild themselves. This is the perfect fight for both parties somewhere in Germany. I mean, Pavlik has to assume that his chances of decisioning Abraham in Germany, and beating Andre Ward in any type of fashion here in the USA are pretty much neck and neck, right?

On topic: Not much wrong with trying to go after the best. I don't see Kelly getting the win, but it isn't like the guy is complete garbage, either. I'd prefer to see him in there against Froch and/or Dawson...more so Froch - I think that could be quite a war. Losing to Ward(the best fighter in the division!!!) does not end your career.

Everyone who fights Pavlik says he hits exceptionally hard so I think he has a puncher's chance. However, he's most likely going to get rolled over. I wouldn't mind seeing Ward tested by someone just a little, but I don't think Kelly will do that...

Pavlik already has 2 major loses, if he loses to Dawson right now he'll go through another 6 month binge and end up in jail again. Pavlik vs. Froch would be a WAR.

Pavlik doesn't take well to losing, the Hopkins lose put him on the edge where he began drinking, and the Martinez lose put him over the edge and had him making bad decisions.

Oh c'mon STYLES MAKE FIGHTS.....KELLY has no chances with a slick-boxer like WARD,WARD is a version of BHOP and SOG will give a punishment to the GHOST;KELLY can fight ABRAHAM in a fight that put in the ring the two great middleweights of years ago and it's a fight really interesting IMO,also vs FROCH i see KELLY has some possibilities to win but his chances with WARD are ZERO....no puncher's chance indeed with WARD because KELLY is also too slow for him!THIS FIGHT HAS NO SENSE!!!
